We integrate Sign Language throughout the day in the infant room. In the Toddler room, we add Spanish to the curriculum. These early language skills give your child a great head-start going into K–12 education.

Our infant & toddler rooms are staffed with caring, friendly, experienced teachers at or better than state mandated student-to-teacher ratios. We work closely with your family as it relates to specific nutritional, allergy, and general care needs of your child. Please see our FAQs to read about specifics.

Daily Schedule

We strive to be a comforting part of your life as a parent. Our teachers help babies reach developmental milestones, including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and eventually, walking.

Equipment and toys are safe and age appropriate. The rooms are arranged to satisfy individual needs by allowing space for eating, sleeping, and playing. Our schedule allows flexibility to meet each child’s needs. It also leaves room for planned activities.

We begin teaching Sign Language in this room. Infants have their own gym time once they start moving. We also provide opportunities for them to use their creativity. Infants are introduced to art materials that primarily include food soluble substances i.e. pudding, baby food, cool whip etc.

We believe your infant’s best moments will be with their teacher. DCLC supports the Primary Caregiver theory, where each child’s primary care needs are met with the same staff person. This helps your child and their primary caregiver form a bond. It also assists in easing some of the normal struggles an infant might have, such as separation anxiety or attachment issues. Your infant will receive care that is specific to their needs and schedules from their primary caregiver.

Frequent communication between you and your child’s caregiver will help coordinate routines at home and at DCLC. It also develops close relationships between you, your child, and your child’s caregiver.

Daily Schedule

We support every area of your growing toddler’s development by observing their social, physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. Toddlers are encouraged to build independence through self-help skills such as sitting during mealtimes, using silverware, dressing themselves, putting on outerwear, and participating in toilet training.

Emotional and social development is nurtured through caring, trusting relationships with each child. We help toddlers recognize and express their feelings while developing skills such as sharing, showing respect, and helping others. These everyday interactions lay the foundation for positive relationships with adults and peers.

Spiritually, toddlers are often captivated by Bible stories such as David and Goliath, Noah’s Ark, and Daniel and the Lions’ Den. These stories help introduce God’s love and faithfulness in engaging, age-appropriate ways.

Sign language continues to be incorporated into the classroom. Children are also introduced to simple Spanish words and concepts, including colors, shapes, and animals, as an early introduction to a second language.
